Remote Interviews
Capturing distant interviews with video calls
How we produce videos even when all the interviewees are physically separated.
It is common for academic projects to involve authors from different locations, backgrounds, and walks of life. This diversity adds significant value to the project. However, recording high-quality content from multiple locations can be challenging.
To overcome this challenge, we have developed a system that allows us to record high-quality videos through video calls. These video calls resemble Zoom or FaceTime calls for the interviewee, but we have full control over the camera settings and can record a higher quality video without internet dropouts.
This system enables us to conduct in-depth interviews while overcoming challenges arising from multiple locations and schedules. We have used this system successfully hundreds of times with other educators, and we are proud to share some examples of online interviews we have produced.
